Students Promote Citizenship
Primary grade students are urging others to be responsible citizens in their classrooms and throughout the school and greater community.  Students are using technology to share what they know about the importance of good citizenship with others.  First graders, for example, are creating posters using the See Saw application.  Students are turning their posters and voice recordings into QR codes and plan to hang them up throughout the school after winter break to remind others what it looks like to Go For the GOLD.  They also share why our actions are important.  We are proud of our students for helping promote a positive school culture!

Digger Dash Schedule
Ready, set....DASH!  We are all looking forward to our annual fun run - the Digger Dash - on Thursday, October 6.  Please see the schedule below for grade level race times.  Students in grades K-5 are all running for robots they will create and code.  We thank you for helping us reach our fundraising goals and hope you are able to cheer us on on race day!

Math Olympiad

After a very successful season last year, our Gold Rush Elementary Math Olympiad Team is ready to start up for the 2016-2017 year.  This team is designed for 4th and 5th grade mathematicians, but if your third grader is up for a challenge, we welcome them as well.  We will meet Wednesday mornings, starting on September 28.  Please view this flyer for more details and information.  Students were offered flyers in their classrooms, so your child may bring home a paper copy of the form.

Parent Teacher Conferences
We are looking forward to parent teacher conferences on September 27 and October 5.  We believe that your parent teacher conference is an opportunity to share your child's strengths and work together.  If you haven't signed up for your conference already, please do so by Saturday, September 24.  You can access the online scheduling tool by clicking here.  The password is "digger."

Yearbook Club
A new yearbook club for students in grades 3-5 will be held on Mondays after school starting October 17.  Look for the flyer with more details on September 29.
