News Year's Goals
We were excited to welcome students back this week!  Students were happy to share how they spent their break.  Several students identified celebrations and things they wanted to accomplish in the New Year.  They wrote goals to help them remember where they wanted to be a year from now.

"My New Year's goal is to practice being kind and to sleep better."

More Students Explore the S.T.E.A.M. Lab
Fifth graders were the first to open our science and engineering lab in December.  This month students in all grade levels will have the opportunity to collaborate, problem solve and apply math concepts through robotics.  Kindergartners' enthusiasm was palpable as they learned how to program robots Dash and Dot to move and speak.  We are excited for all students to have the opportunity to create and code this month.

Gold Rush Parent Communication Survey
We are looking for ways to improve our communication.  Click here to complete a parent survey regarding how you receive information best by Wednesday, January 18.  The school will use your feedback to improve the ways we share information.

Chambers Road Full Expansion Opens Monday, January 9th
It was great to see many students use the new pedestrian bridge across Chambers Road!  The traffic light at the previous crossing has been removed so the pedestrian bridge is the only safe access across the road.  A full traffic switch over to four lanes is scheduled for Monday, January 9th.  Please help us ensure students' safety by ensuring your child is aware of the need to use the bridge.
