Highlight of the
Week
Parent Teacher Conferences
We enjoyed celebrating students’ many accomplishments at our
second evening of parent teacher conferences on Wednesday! We thank all of our families for
participating. We certainly value the
opportunity to share with you your child’s successes and goals for the
remainder of the school year. We also
thank the PTO again for the wonderful meals they provided teachers!
Fall Break
We wish your family a fun and safe fall break! Students will be off of school starting this Friday, October 5,
through Sunday, October 21st.
I hope you enjoy the time
together. Please remember that reading
together each night and writing about your adventures is a great way to spend
time together! Have a wonderful time!
Halloween
You received a letter in your child’s Thursday folder today
that details how we will celebrate Halloween.
On Wednesday, October 31,st
we will have a Halloween breakfast party from 9:15-10:15AM followed by an
all school parade from 10:15-10:30AM.
Learning for all students will resume at 10:30 AM. Please be mindful of the school’s costume
guidelines when you begin to plan for your child’s costume. Click here

Open Enrollment
Dates for 2013-2014
· Open enrollment for the 2013-2014 school year
opens on November 1st and closes on January 7th. Please see the district website for
additional information.
PTO
Fall Festival
· The PTO Fall Festival is right around the
corner! On Thursday,
October 25,th from 5:30-7:30PM
the PTO will be hosting Trunk for Treating, a chili cook off, and a barbeque. Additional events include pumpkin decorating
and a costume scavenger hunt. Click here fore more information. Volunteers are needed!

Box Tops
· We collected 5,104 Box Tops in the month of
September!
This money is used for student rewards, Golden Ticket prizes, TCAP treats, Math
Olympiad and Battle of the Books awards. Thank you for collecting, clipping,
and submitting their Box Tops to their teachers.
