Highlights of the
Week
Students Work Hard On
State Tests
Students in grades three through five worked really hard
completing the state assessment, known as the Transitional Colorado Assessment
Program (T.C.A.P.), this week! We were
proud of the stamina and effort that students’ demonstrated during each testing
session. We look forward to sharing
students’ results with you when we get them back from the state early next
year.
5th Grade
Students Run Young AmeriTown
Our fifth grade students applied their learning of
democracy, civic responsibility and leadership as they independently operated
their own town called Young Ameritown on Friday. Students were excited to fulfill their
individual job responsibility and work collaboratively as a community.
Students Show Pride
for the Feeder
Students dressed in blue and white on Friday to support Legend
High School who is playing in the final four this weekend. Check out pictures of our students showing
pride for our feeder. Go Titans!
Student Assembly
Monday
Students
are looking forward to seeing an assembly put on by Imagination Makers on
Monday afternoon. Our students will be
viewing “The Journal of Abby Munson.” which chronicles
the trials and tribulations of ten-year-old Abby Munson who thinks she isn’t good
at anything. Your child will see Abby’s transformation as she learns what makes
her unique. Through journal writing, Abby discovers that she is a talented writer
and she realizes the importance of “being herself.” We thank the Douglas
County Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) for their partial funding
of this opportunity! With humor and insight,
“The Journal of Abby Munson” will inspire your child to realize their own
special talents.
