Junior Achievement
Today students learned about financial literacy, entrepreneurism and work readiness through Junior Achievement.  Members from Richey May, Charter Communications and Grant Thornton facilitated activities that addressed these important life skills.  Students enjoyed having our special visitors and the activities they presented!  We thank Mr. Cohrs for bringing Junior Achievement to Gold Rush for a second year in a row and all of the members for sharing their expertise!

Community Meeting Regarding Chambers Widening

Wellness Resources
As the school year is coming to a close, we want to remind you that our mission of ensuring that healthy students know when they need help and where to get help continues into the summer months. The summer can be both an anticipated and stressful time for students and their families. We want to ensure that families are supported over the summer. The Douglas County Youth & Family Resource Guide was developed by the Douglas County Youth Initiative to help coordinate local youth-serving efforts and assess the needs of the children in our community. This useful and extremely comprehensive resource is available at http://douglascountylibraries.org/Community/YouthResourcesDirectory.

Other useful resources to consult are:

Your child’s safety is of the utmost importance, and Gold Rush will do all we can to support every student’s well-being.  Please consider the resources offered on the  STUDENT WELLNESS website and determine if they may be appropriate for your family.
